Pastor’s Welcome

“No matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’ve done, you are welcome here.”

You’ll often hear me say that at the beginning of worship, and I mean it. Church is not a place where we pretend to be something we’re not. It’s a place to be real. Why? Because the love of Jesus is way more real than we are.  

Life is not about getting it right or measuring up. It’s about the extravagant grace of God. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being perfected by Christ’s love, and we’re all in this together!  

Thanks for visiting the Jax First UMC website. I hope you’ll give online worship a try and then come meet the delightful people here in person on Sunday. Or you might want to drop in on one of our great children’s ministries, youth events, adult small groups, or hands-on missions first. We’d love to have you, anytime.  

I suppose all of us have a hunger for something more, whether we realize it or not. Come and break bread with a community of friends who are hungry too.
