EXPLORATIONS CLASS
Visitors and new members
Our pastor personally leads a 5-week class, twice a year in the Spring and Fall. There’s no commitment just by coming. It’s a great chance to get to know our pastor, each other, and our church.
Topics include:
Our faith stories, our pastor’s story, and the church’s story
The story of John and Charles Wesley and Methodism
The essentials on Wesleyan beliefs
Methodist spirituality and practice
Ways to be involved at Jax First UMC
Our pastor will announce the start of each upcoming class and invite people who have been recently joining us for worship. Never fear … you are welcome to come if you have already been active in our church for a while!

New Life is open to Christians of all ages, but due to the complexity of much of the material discussed, the recommended age range of participants is 30 years and up. Feel free to join us to explore Christians’ challenges and how we continue to grow our beliefs and practices.

Our members support the missions of the church to include involvement in various outreach projects.
We invite anyone - couples, singles, etc. - to join us for a spirited discussion every Sunday. We celebrate our togetherness on First Friday by meeting at a local restaurant to have dinner. We consider our class to be family.
