Jesus Dies
When Jesus was killed on the cross, the sky went dark. There was an earthquake, and the curtain in the temple was torn in two! Jesus died as a sacrifice for us so that all our sins might be forgiven. In the past, the temple curtain had separated people from God’s holy place - now Jesus had made a way for everyone to draw close to God!
Ask each other these questions while traveling to the next location:
1) Why did Jesus die on the cross?
2) What was the symbolism of the curtain being torn in two?

Dear God, thank you so much for your love for us. Please give us hearts to love other people the way you love us. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
